What is a Booster?
A booster is a coin multiplier that you can activate to earn more coins over a given period. Depending on the offer it comes from, a booster can multiply your coins by x2 or x4. It boosts earnings from certain activities in the app, such as step validation (excluding step bonuses), the coins available on the map, or slot machines available in the map spots (excluding jackpots).
What are boosters for?
Boosters are used to earn more coins over the period of your choice. For example, thanks to step boosters, you can earn x2 or x4 coins on your daily steps (excluding step bonus), coins available on the map, or coins from slot machines available in the map spots (excluding jackpot). This should motivate you to walk more!
Which multiplier will I get?
The multiplier (x2 or x4) and the duration depend on the offer that gives you the booster. Both are always shown on the booster itself, before you activate it.
Under the Booking cashback offer, participants can earn multiple 4x boosters, each active for 24 hours.
Additionally, the Jackpot Express (ADs) booster doubles (2x) your rewards for a 24-hour period.
What types of rewards are boosted?
Boosters multiply coins earned through the following activities:
Your daily steps reward (excluding step bonus)
Coins on the map
Coins from slot machines on the map (excluding jackpot)
Where can I see my boosters?
In the Macadam app:
Go to the home page, then click on the Booster section ⚡️ at the top of the screen
You'll see all the Boosters you've earned, their multiplier, status, duration, and how many coins you've earned with each one
How do I activate a booster?
Once you've earned a booster, you can activate it at any time from the Booster section. Once activated:
It's active for the limited duration indicated (e.g., 1 day).
You'll see in real time how many bonus coins you've earned on the booster history.
Boosted coins are only added once the booster is completed.
⚠️ Unused boosters expire after 1 year, so keep that in mind to use them before the expiration.
What are the statuses of a booster?
Received: You've received a booster and can activate it right now
Active: Booster currently in use
Completed: The booster is finished; bonus coins are awaiting validation from the partner who provided the booster
Confirmed by partner: You can claim your bonus coins (transaction validated)
Rewards claimed: The total bonus coins have been transferred to your wallet
Cancelled: The partner transaction was cancelled; therefore, the Booster was also cancelled.
Expired: if the booster has not been used one year after being earned
When do I receive my bonus coins?
You activate your booster.
You perform actions (walking, exploring the map…)
You earn bonus coins that are locked
Once the partner transaction is validated, you can claim them, and they're added to your wallet
Do I get notified?
Yes! You receive:
A notification + email when you earn a booster
A banner when a booster is active, to see your bonus coins
A notification + email when your bonus coins are available to claim
Can I accumulate multiple boosters?
No, but you can activate a new booster once the current one is finished or expired. This doesn't prevent you from storing multiple boosters.
What happens if my partner transaction is cancelled?
The booster is also cancelled, and the associated bonus coins will not be added to your wallet.
