First Time Setup
When opening the map for the first time, you'll need to grant certain permissions for the best experience:
Allow the app to access your device's location while using the app (required)
Allow location access "All the time" (optional, but improves performance)
Set no restrictions for energy saving (optional, but improves performance)
Managing Your Location
You can share or hide your live location with friends. If you hide your location, friends won't see you on the map, but you can still enjoy all the rewards in Spots and Coins around you.
To adjust your location settings:
Click the toggle on the map menu bar ⚙️ or go to map settings → "Privacy."
Choose your precision level so friends see an approximate location
Select which friends can see your location:
All my friends
Certain people
All my friends except...
Troubleshooting: Can't see friends on the map?
Try closing and reopening the app
Check if they're hiding their location
Can't see yourself, or is the map not working?
Go to your phone settings and ensure Macadam location is set to 'always share' with 'precise location' enabled.
