Do you own an Amazfit watch and want to ensure every step earns you coins on Macadam?
Since Macadam doesn't pull data directly from the watch itself, we use a simple "bridge" strategy. By syncing your Amazfit stats to your phone’s built-in health ecosystem (like Apple Health or Health Connect), Macadam can automatically add your steps to your account.
Here is your step-by-step guide.
First step: Install Zepp app (Android & iOS)
Before syncing with third-party apps, your watch must be correctly paired with the Zepp App (the official app of Amazfit watches).
Download Zepp: Install the Zepp app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Pairing: Open Zepp > Profile > Add Device. Follow the on-screen prompts to scan the QR code on your watch.
Background Permissions:
Android: Go to your phone's Settings > Apps > Zepp > Battery > set to "Unrestricted."
iOS: Ensure "Background App Refresh" is ON for Zepp in your iPhone settings.
🍎 For iPhone Users (iOS) via Apple Health
Enable Data Syncing in Zepp:
Open the Zepp app and tap Profile (bottom right).
Under "More," tap Add accounts.
Select Health (Apple Health).
Tap "Enable" or "Enable all" to share data categories.
Confirm Permissions in Apple Health:
Open the Apple Health app on your iPhone.
Tap your profile icon (top right).
Under "Privacy," tap Apps.
Select Zepp from the list.
Ensure all categories are toggled ON.
💡 Troubleshooting & Tips:
Data Lag: Syncing may not be instantaneous; open the Zepp app to trigger a data refresh.
Reconnect: If syncing fails, toggle Bluetooth off and on, or remove the device in Zepp and re-pair.
Ensure Data Flows: If data is missing, go to Apple Health, tap the data type (e.g., Steps), scroll to Data Sources & Access, and ensure Zepp is prioritized.
🤖 For Android Users via Health Connect
Step 1: Link Zepp to Health Connect
In the Zepp app, go to Profile.
Tap Add accounts (or "3rd-party account linking").
Select Health Connect.
Toggle Sync with Health Connect to ON.
A permissions screen will appear. Tap "Allow all" to let Zepp access your steps.
Step 2: Connect Google Fit to Health Connect
Open the Google Fit app.
Tap your Profile icon > Settings.
Tap Sync Fit with Health Connect.
Step 3: Select Health Connect as step source in Macadam
Open Macadam.
Tap your Profile icon > Settings.
Search for step source and select Health Connect.
