How to Sync your Gloryfit Watch with Macadam

A simple step-by-step guide for iOS and Android

Do you have a Gloryfit watch and want every step to count on Macadam?

Since Macadam doesn't connect directly to the watch's data, we use a "bridge" approach. By syncing your Garmin data to your phone’s health ecosystem, Macadam can automatically pick up your steps.

Here is your step-by-step guide.

🍎 For iPhone Users (iOS)

  1. Enable Health Permissions in the App:

    • Open the GloryFit app on your iPhone.

    • Tap on the Me or Profile tab at the bottom of the screen.

    • Look for third-party services or system settings and select Apple Health.

    • Toggle the option to sync data.

  2. Verify Apple Health Settings:

    • Open the native Health app on your iPhone.

    • Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.

    • Under the Privacy section, tap Apps.

    • Locate and tap GloryFit.

    • Turn on All Categories to ensure the data shares correctly.

🤖 For Android Users

Macadam allows you to choose your data source. Please select the Health Connect step source first.

Because Google has shifted towards using Health Connect instead of Google Fit, ensuring both apps share permissions correctly is the most reliable way to sync your daily activity.

Follow these steps to connect the two apps:

Step 1: Link Accounts in GloryFit

  1. Open the GloryFit app on your device.

  2. Tap on "Me" (or Profile) tab at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Select Third-Party Service or Settings.

  4. Tap Google Fit, and then select Bind.

  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to sign in with your Google account and grant the requested permissions.

Step 2: Enable Google Fit & Health Connect
To ensure your data syncs reliably across the Google ecosystem:

  1. Make sure you have the Health Connect by Android app installed from the Play Store.

  2. Open Google Fit and tap on your profile.

  3. Go to Settings and ensure that Sync Fit with Health Connect is turned on.

  4. Under connected apps, verify that GloryFit has permission to read and write activity.

💡 Pro-Tips

The Daily "Push": Your watch only sends data to your phone when the app is open. Open the Gloryfit app once a day to ensure your steps are "pushed" to your phone's health app before the midnight reset.
