Resetting the connection between Macadam and Google Fit
Updated over a week ago

Google has recently updated Google Fit, which has caused tracking difficulties affecting many fitness applications, including Macadam.

To address this, we have created a step-by-step guide to help you reset the connection and restore accurate tracking of your steps and fitness data.

1. We suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the Macadam.app on your phone. This simple action can often resolve connectivity issues.
💡Ensure you know the email address associated with your Macadam account to easily log back in after reinstalling.

2. We recommend to disconnect Macadam from Google Fit, please:
- Go to your Google Account Settings and find here the page for third-party apps and services.
- Scroll down to locate "Macadam."
- Click on it and select "Remove Access" to disconnect Macadam from your Google account.

3. Log in to your Macadam account using your registered email.

When prompted, reconnect Macadam to your Google account to restore step and fitness data tracking.

Additional Tips:

⭐ Ensure your app is updated: Always verify that you’re using the latest version of the Macadam.app, as updates often include fixes for known bugs and performance improvements.

⭐ We recommend clearing the Macadam app data by locating the app icon on your phone, pressing and holding it until options appear, selecting "App Info," navigating to "Storage & Cache," and tapping "Clear Cache."
