When using Macadam on Android, you have the option to choose which pedometer counts your steps. Here are your options:

Google Fit

A great choice for most Android users. While the app isn't required, using it enhances step-counting accuracy. Plus, it allows for easy synchronization of steps from your smartwatch or fitness band.

Health Connect

a centralized and secure hub to store and synchronize health and fitness data between different applications on the same device.

Fitbit

Perfect if you're using a Fitbit device to track your steps. Check out this article for guidance: How to connect your Fitbit to Macadam.

Macadam Built-in Pedometer

Simple and straightforward, it tracks your steps directly within the app. Note that it doesn't count steps taken with a connected device. To be able to use this pedometer, make sure that your google play store is up-to-date.
